Yogi Bear Wiki

Yogi the Cave Bear is the prehistoric version of Yogi Bear, or as the latter saw it, his sixth great-grandfather, plus a titular one-time character of the episode of the same name from The New Yogi Bear Show, an updated version of The Yogi Bear Show. This Yogi lived in Rocky Stone Park.

Background[]

Physical Appearance[]

He is a full-sized cave bear (taller and bigger than Yogi) with brown fur, a tan muzzle, white fanged teeth, black nose, a thick black bushy unibrow, a green porkpie hat, a white and black-spotted loincloth collar, and a green and black-spotted loincloth tie.

Role in the episode[]

At Rocky Stone Park, Yogi and his pal, Boo-Boo got into a cave that belonged to his ancestor, Yogi the Cave Bear. Before Yogi was about to take and eat a whole roast pterodactyl, his ancestor hit Yogi's finger with his wooden club and got him and Boo-Boo out of his cave and also Rocky Stone Park. After that, they went back to Yogi's cave in Jellystone Park.

Notes/Trivia[]

  • In The Flintstones, there was also a prehistoric version of the same name, although the characters in that series were civilized, unlike the characters in the New Yogi Bear Show short. This creates some contradiction, as both franchises are supposed to be set in the same universe.
