Scare Bear is an engineer and a character of Yogi's Space Race and Galaxy Goof-Ups, both spin-offs of The Yogi Bear Show. He was voiced by Joe Besser with the same characterization as Babu.

Background

Personality

As Yogi's occasional companion, Scare Bear is cowardly, paranoid and afraid of almost everything and he's also germophobic and hyperactive, hence the fur on his face is in a perpetual "scare take".

Physical Appearance

Scare Bear is a short, fuzzy, anthropomorphic bear with shaggy, dark tan-brown fur on his pear-shaped body and hair on his head, light tan fur on his muzzle, ears, arms, and feet, black eyes, black eyebrows, a black nose, and wears a red hat. In Yogi's Space Race, he wears a small, dark olive-green vest and in Galaxy Goof-Ups, he also wears a small, blue and gold futuristic vest with flared shoulders.

History

In his biography shown in the episode, "Planet of the Monsters", his life began as a scareder-than-average cub when he was a baby. As he grew up, and when eating out with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Scare Bear, he was always the finnickiest member of the family. Even at public places including the zoo for example, he found himself easily frightened.
