Role in the film[]
Mugger along with the Chizzling Brothers first appeared after Cindy fell out of a train and got lost that night and they were looking for a great act to raise their ratings, when suddenly, the dog ran off and scared Cindy into walking on the telephone wires, the perfect act to save their circus.
After an extensive travel and also after the song, "Ash Can Parade", Yogi and Boo-Boo found Cindy, who was being kept prisoner in a cage for the Chizzling Brothers' nest egg. As Yogi confronted Grifter, he was made to join the circus too. Meanwhile, Boo-Boo released both Yogi and Cindy, Yogi then locked the defeated Mugger in the cage, mocking him with his copycat snickering, and finally made their exit.

Notes/Trivia[]
- Mugger's character design and trademark snicker (voiced by Don Messick) would later be similarly inspiration for Muttley and Mumbly, Muttley is the pet and sidekick of Dick Dastardly's pet from the Hanna-Barbera series, Wacky Races and later in the Yogi Bear franchise, including Yogi's Treasure Hunters, Fender Bender 500, and Yo Yogi!
- Additionally, Mumbly was initially a heroic detective dog, but later took on a role similar to Muttley in Laff-a-Lympics and the Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 film, Yogi Bear and the Magical Flight of the Spruce Goose, where this was Dread Baron's pet and sidekick, who resembled Dick Dastardly, in a comic book, it was revealed that Dick and Dread are brothers.
- There's a Tom & Jerry Kids character with the same name.
