Hanna-Barbera Productions, Inc.,(known as Hanna-Barbera Enterprises, Inc. and formerly H-B Enterprises, Inc.) and simply known as Hanna-Barbera was an American animation studio founded by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The studio is best known for its shows like the original series, The Flintstones (and its subsequent spin-offs), Yogi Bear, The Jetsons and many more. The name Hanna-Barbera still exists under the umbrella of Warner Bros. Animation for all historic proprietary material and to market "classic" associated material (Hanna-Barbera was folded into Warner Bros. Animation in 2001, after Hanna's death).
Overseas[]
It was also one of the first animation studios to have their work produced overseas. One of these companies was a subsidiary started by Hanna-Barbera called Fil-Cartoons, Inc. in Manila, Philippines that was founded by Jerry Smith in 1987 and then in went defunct in 2001. Wang Film Productions got its start as an overseas facility for the studio in 1978.
