Fender Bender 500 is an American animated children's racing comedy series and one of two animated segments featured in the short-lived series, Wake, Rattle, and Roll, and also a reboot of Hanna-Barbera's original series, Wacky Races.
Synopsis[]
It was one of two animated segments that featured the iconic characters, including Yogi and Boo-Boo Bear from the Yogi Bear franchise, Top Cat and Choo-Choo, Magilla Gorilla and Wally Gator, Winnie Witch (along with her pet cat, Lucky and sentient skeleton, Axel), Snagglepuss and Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, Pixie and Dixie, and the villainous Dick Dastardly and Muttley as racers in which they competed in racing with tracks from various places around the world in their different-themed monster trucks that were included in numerical order:
- Jellystone Jammer (#1)
- Half Dog, Half Cat, Half Track (#2)
- Swamp Stoner (#3)
- Alley Cat (#4)
- Texas Twister (#5)
- Cheddar Shredder (#6)
- Lucky Trucky (#7)
- Sonic Broom (#13)
- Dirty Truckster (#00)
There was a variety of running gags, the first one involving a rather nervous and non-speaking starter, who always was run over by the racers, or had a similar misfortune, every time he shot his starter pistol.
Prizes[]
Each race also featured what sounded like an especially luxurious prize after any racers won the first place since they crossed the finish line along with a beautiful female non-speaking presenter, such as a hundred gold doubloons, or a thousand French Francs, only to have the prize turn into a silly facsimile such as a hundred gold "balloons" or a thousand French hot dogs.

Video Releases[]
The only home video release was in Japan where the entire series was released on both VHS and LaserDisc in six volumes with 48 episodes, and the only two episodes that were released separately from the eighth disc of the Wacky Races LD Set are "Unfathomable 500" and "The Yukon Win It 500".
Notes/Trivia[]
- This series marked the last time that Top Cat and Dick Dastardly would be voiced by their original actors, Arnold Stang and Paul Winchell, before their respective passing.
