Boo-Boo Bear (nicknamed as Boo or Boob) is an anthropomorphic bear, Yogi's best friend, and one of the main fictional characters of the Yogi Bear franchise.
Background[]
Personality[]
Boo-Boo likes to do the right thing, often acting as Yogi's conscience. He tries (usually unsuccessfully) to keep Yogi from doing things he should not do, and also to keep Yogi from getting into trouble with Ranger Smith. Often, he would say say, "But Yogi, Mr. Ranger isn't gonna like this," or some variation.
Physical Appearance[]
Boo-Boo is a small anthropomorphic bear (possibly even a bear cub), with tan-brown fur, a light tan muzzle and a tuft of hair on the top of his head. His only set of clothes is a blue (or sometimes purple) bowtie.
In the series, Laff-a-Lympics, as part of the Yogi Yahooeys, he wears a red-orange T-shirt with a white "Y" on it.

Notes/Trivia[]
- It is apparent that Boo-Boo is simply an adult bear who is short of stature.
- Boo-Boo has remained at Yogi's side through almost all of the franchise in which Yogi appeared, the only exceptions being Yogi's Space Race and Galaxy Goof-Ups, in which Boo-Boo's place was taken by a new character, Scare Bear.
- Boo-Boo's voice actor, Don Messick, also voiced Ranger Smith.
- No other actors have replaced or filled in for Messick, and he has yet to be officially succeeded as Warner Bros. Animation (who completely took over Hanna-Barbera in 2001) have not done anything new with the franchise.
- The 1991 Illustrated Encyclopedia of Cartoon Animals by Jeff Rovin notes that Boo-Boo lives by himself in his own cave[1]; but some episodes show them sleeping together in the same bed. [2]
